The intent of this design is to create a gathering space to promote appreciation of the ecology and encourage interaction of people and culture. Within Boulder Central Park, the ditch is a barren feature with multiple opportunities for improvement. The larger rocks provide intentional seating in order to transform the ditch into a defined central gathering space. The Colorado native plants serve as an intriguing element and additional biodiversity.
